Valentine’s Day: only business? by Alizée, Valentine and Tiphaine (Brest)

Valentine’s Day, celebrated on February the 14th is the day of love. Lovers give each other presents to show their love. Red roses, chocolate hearts, restaurants, ideas are not lacking. The number of cards sent that day is almost as important as Christmas time.
Today, businesses have taken over this festival and turned it into a major event, most couples feel forced to offer a gift. The downside: if a person in a couple gets nothing, she may question her partner, and if a single person receives nothing, he or she may feel even more lonely than ever, unless they do not pay attention to Valentine's Day. However, given that present sales increase dramatically in this period, we must admit that many people believe in the feast of love. And every year businesses must be more inventive to make Valentine's Day a success!

Celebrate it or ignore it?

The key is to remember that when you love someone, you take the risk of not being loved (gift or not). Love grows each day by sharing. A greater surprise would be much more effective on a day when nobody expects it...
